Filling Out a Keno Straight and a 20 Spot Ticket
New keno players and online keno players who try out the game of keno in a land-based casino will find it easier to try playing a straight ticket and a 20 spot ticket. If you're a player who is used to playing keno in an online casino then filling out keno tickets will be a new experience for you. We suggest that you start with either a straight ticket or a 20 spot ticket since these are among the easiest keno tickets to learn.
So how do we fill out a straight ticket and a 20 spot ticket? The first thing you have to do is to go to the keno booth and obtain a ticket from there. Usually each keno ticket you get will come with a crayon so you don't have to fuss over not having a pen to write with.
Another thing you might want to pick up since you're already at the keno booth is the keno pamphlet that the casino hands out for free. This is important since every casino will have different limits to how many numbers a player can mark on a keno ticket. This pamphlet will also contain the payoffs you can receive in a keno game.
The next thing you have to do is to mark the numbers on your keno ticket. Since we're playing a straight ticket then you can choose numbers on your keno ticket at random. You get paid for every number you were able to hit after the winning numbers are drawn, pretty much like a lottery. You should take note of the minimum wager amount in a game of keno for that particular casino.
Some casinos will allow you to mark as much as 15 numbers on your keno ticket, though that amount will vary from casino to casino. After marking your numbers on a straight ticket write the amount you'll wager on the upper right corner of your ticket. Here's where that pamphlet comes in handy. Check it to figure out the minimum wager required. Common minimum wagers are one-dollar and two-dollar wagers. The amount you put on the straight ticket covers all the numbers you chose. You should also write the how many numbers you picked right under the amount of your wager.
A 20 spot ticket will be played very much like a straight ticket. The big difference is that you'll be wagering on 20 numbers instead. You just mark the top right corner of your 20 spot ticket with the number 20 and the amount of your bet underneath that.
The straight ticket and the 20 spot ticket are the easiest keno tickets to fill out. It's all pretty straight forward and can be learned in one sitting.
